Sledding through powder down Armour Hill.
Skating after a puck on the Lift Lock canal.
Spinning on the merry-go-round at James Stevenson Park.

Chasing after the Dickie-Dee ice-cream cart.
Jumping off the Blue Bridge into the Trent canal.
Swinging an iron at Liftlock Golf Club.

Munching a sugar cookie from East City Bakery.
Riding in an ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Volleying a tennis ball at the Quaker Tennis Club.

Fast? Sure.

But nothing was as fast as my cousins’ reciting the “Our Father” prayer
before eating dinner.
