Don’t forget you know a Guy

My husband and I have a running joke where he says, “I know a guy” whenever we need something done around the house. He, of course, is referring to himself.

I’ve started to use the saying too, but I am referring to him, not me. My hubby is good at fixing almost everything…automobiles, carpentry, welding, snowmobiles, electronics, painting, etc. I have yet to find something that he isn’t able to do.

I have complete faith in my husband. I consider myself blessed to know this guy.

As a Christian, I am blessed to also know a guy. Or rather, a Guy. I have complete faith in God.

God is trustworthy. He has shown Himself faithful to me over and over again.

Especially with finances.

God encourages me to share my money with those less fortunate. He tells me that He will bless me when I bless others.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work

(2 Corinthians 9:6–8 NIV).

God says, “Worship me with what I’ve given you. And then I’m going to bless you more. You bless them and I will bless you.” God’s got it. When I do my part, He’s got the rest.

It comes down to trust. Giving is an act of trust knowing He’ll supply all our needs.

It’s not about money. It’s about our hearts. It’s about trust. It’s about worship. Whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

This works for money, time, talent, experience, possessions, and hearts.

The enemy says we do not have enough. We need to bind the spirit of poverty, bind the lies of the enemy, and release a spirit of generosity.

And don’t forget…we know a Guy.
